Powder metallurgy composite materials

Technical description: Powder metallurgy is another important method for material shaping and control. Building upon this foundation, GESION has introduced various cutting-edge technologies and innovative production processes and parameters to achieve effective composite and controllable composition of the reinforcing phase and substrate. Compared to traditional pressing-sintering methods, products manufactured using these methods exhibit superior relative density, mechanical properties, and wear performance. Additionally, GESION can provide functional gradients wear material.

Chemical composition
Types of reinforcing phase: TiC, WC, TiN, NbC, VC, etc.
Types of substrates: Alloy steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals*.

Overall mechanical properties:
Hardness: 60-75 HRC
Impact toughness: >8 J/cm2
Flexural strength: >1400 MPa (dependent on the composition and volume fraction of the reinforcing phase)
Functional gradient products available
*The strength of composite materials based on non-ferrous metals is related to the properties of the substrate
